Yes, you can make amends in the CoS after assigning as well by adding a note. However, this is only advisable for minute errors. Whereas you must cancel the CoS and reissue a new one if you find major errors like incorrect nationality of the candidate. You may also cancel the CoS in the event of a foreign worker (your current employee) stopped working for you, switched jobs or changed their occupation where the CoS no more holds the merits for that case.
Although the number of CoS you will need in the concurrent year is asked priorly while applying for your license but, if needed, you can request an increase in your Certificate of Sponsorship allocation through the Sponsorship Management System. However, you will need to provide justification for the increase, and the Home Office may request additional documentation to support your application.
